Following the success of EMMC’s first edition in 2019, we are getting ready to hold the second edition of this leading maritime event on June 19, 2025 in Athens, Greece.
The East Med Maritime Conference 2019 has managed to secure its positon on the maritime calendar as one of the significant maritime events in the region and the world, attracting pioneers, leaders and experts, regional and international shipping companies, port operators and managers, shipbuilding and repair yards. Once again in 2025, those experts will meet together in Athens to discuss current challenges and suggest recommendations, to develop a road map for a bright, safe and secure future.

The East Med Maritime Conference 2019 has managed to secure its positon on the maritime calendar as one of the significant maritime events in the region and the world, attracting pioneers, leaders and experts, regional and international shipping companies, port operators and managers, shipbuilding and repair yards. Once again in 2025, those experts will meet together in Athens to discuss current challenges and suggest recommendations, to develop a road map for a bright, safe and secure future.
In its second edition, the conference will examine the renaissance of the East Med region’s countries, their maritime sector, projects underway and future plans for maritime companies in all sectors. The East Med Maritime Conference 2025 is a maritime meeting point that brings together various maritime and logistic specialties to present the latest accomplishments, innovations, current and future trends and challenges, as well as suggested solutions, on key topics like decarbonizations and alternative fuels, EU ETS (Emissions Trading System), safety and security of major maritime routes, newest technologies and gender equality in shipping, especially the digitalization of the maritime sector and ports and the most recent artificial intelligence technologies.
The event will also shed lights on infrastructure projects that bring along great development to maritime transport and trade, and are considered among the key points for the Belt and Road Initiative. This event will work on enhancing the role of the Eastern part of the world in this initiative, the Mediterranean region being a link between Asia, Europe and Africa, a trade hub and a gateway to global markets.
During the conference, representatives from the maritime and shipping sectors will cover the most important plans and projects of shipping lines, the capabilities of maritime fleets, the experiences of shipyards in the region, as well as the current challenges facing the maritime and logistics sector, while discussing offshore projects in the East Med region.
The East Med Maritime Conference 2025 is a meeting point to present new developments and extensive experience in the fields of maritime, shipping, logistics and offshore.
We invite every expert and specialist in the maritime sector to take part in this conference, by submitting summaries of their research and working papers. High-quality research contributions have a significant impact on the development of all areas of the maritime and shipping sector.
Contributions and working papers that discuss the conference sessions, including figures, tables, and research citations are also accepted.
A professional committee will analyze and assess each paper that is submitted, and the authors of accepted papers will get certificates during the conference. These working papers will be posted on the conference website so that attendees may read and follow.
